Ashley + Matt

I’ve been a bit lax about keeping the blog updated, so it’s time to rectify that. Here’s a look at Ashley and Matt’s wedding from August, a lovely, intimate affair at Ashley’s dad’s farm in Forest City. What a great place–they staged the ceremony on the porch of an old one-room schoolhouse that sits on the property. The weather produced some challenges: a lot of rain overnight; then hot and muggy most of the morning; and finally the skies opened up with showers just as Ashley and Matt started their first dance, so everybody sprinted for the cover of the tent. Thanks, Ashley and Matt, for letting me be part of your special day.

 

Stacey + Justin – Sneak Peek

Spent a fun day Saturday in Etowah with Stacey and Justin and their family and friends. Here’s a quick look at some of the highlights of their big day.

Jessie + Brandon

Jessie & Brandon’s wedding was a lovely affair at the Crest Pavilion. Beautiful views of the mountains as the sun set behind the outdoor ceremony area, and a nice panorama of downtown Asheville from the other side of the mountain where we took the formal photos.

Cassie + Randal

Cassie and Randal had a fun outdoor wedding at a little gem of a place (West Point Farms) tucked away in Rutherford County. What a great location! A small pavilion for the ceremony, large pavilion for the reception, log houses for both bride and groom to get ready, cabins and camping area for the wedding party and guests who wanted to make a weekend of it. Add in the musical talents of the happy couple and their guests who started jamming as the afternoon turned to evening, and the day was truly one to remember.

Nicole + John

Nicole and John’s wedding a few weeks ago was a pleasure to photograph. Lovely ceremony, lively reception, and a fun bridal party who really got into the spirit (a prime example at the bottom of this post). Thanks, Nicole and John, for letting me be part of your special day.

To celebrate spring we’re offering a special for couples who book their wedding photography before summer begins (June 21): select Package B and receive a bridal photo session (regularly $150) for free; select Package A and receive a bridal photo session for only $50; select Package C and take $500 off the package price.

To review:

• Book Package B for $800 and get a bridal photo session FREE
• Book Package A for $500 and get a bridal photo session for $50
• Book Package C for just $2,000 — you save $500

But remember, you must book (return completed contract with retainer) by June 21, 2009. It doesn’t matter if your wedding is in May or June of this year, or if it’s in October 2010. If you book by June 21, you get to take advantage of the special.

Meredith + Jonathon

I had the privilege of shooting the wedding of Meredith and Jonathon over the weekend in Hendersonville. Here are a few photos. (Interesting personal connection for me: turns out one of the soloists during the ceremony was an admissions counselor for Mars Hill College 26-ish years ago who visited my high school in Florida for a college fair, and who very well may have been the person who first put the idea of MHC into my head.)
