Mars Hill College’s cycling team hosted the SECCC mountain bike races at the Alexander Mountain Bike Park the first weekend in October, drawing entries from numerous conference teams and a few non-conference schools, as well. The Lions team members and coach Hugh Moran did an excellent job bringing the courses up to racing condition, including resurrecting the downhill track which hadn’t been used for several years.
